Director and Adviser
As well as being one of the original co-founders of Total Finance Options, I have many years experience within the financial services industry. Leaving school at age 16, I began my career at Midland Bank and over time I have worked for numerous high street banks and money shops – often being head hunted into managerial posts. In addition to lenders, I have also worked for various master brokerages, specialising in mortgage packaging and secured loan lending.
I am delighted to be a Director of Total Finance Options Ltd and feel proud of all we have achieved as a company. We built the company in 2006 on confidence and have grown from strength to strength on trust. Our reputation is second to none and treating our customers fairly is what we do…..
There is a saying in forensic science called ‘Lockhart’s Theory’ where the basic principle is that “every contact leaves a trace”…. I believe that everything we do for our clients leaves a huge impact on their lives and that we help make things just that little bit better…… after all, that is why our clients refer their family and friends to us. How many other people can say that about their jobs!
Daniel Waddington CeMAP, CeRER
Director and Adviser
I began my career in the financial services industry in 2003 where I studied, trained and worked as a Paraplanner for a busy Financial Adviser firm in Huddersfield. It was whilst working here I qualified as a Mortgage Adviser and successfully attained my CeMAP qualification.
In 2007 I joined Total Finance Options as a Mortgage Adviser, offering mortgage and protection advice to clients in West and South Yorkshire.
Due to the company’s continued success and growth, I became a Director in August 2011. I feel extremely proud to be part of a team that has grown year on year, from strength to strength and whose reputation is everything!
I love working within a family run business, where we often help our clients move in to that “dream home” and protect our clients should the worst happen with the protection options that we have to offer.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends, travelling and playing football. I am a Huddersfield Town Season Ticket holder and coach the local kids football team in my home village.
Holly Irvine CeMAP, CeRER
Practice Manager and Adviser
Before joining Total Finance Options I worked for two of the largest and busiest Solicitors in Doncaster. It was during this time I gained lots of experience and a great deal of knowledge in the area of Conveyancing.
Having joined the company on day one, I have been promoted several times; from Office Junior, Mortgage Administrator, Client Account Manager and now Practice Manager and Adviser – working in all areas of the business. My main role is to manage the day to day running of the processing office, as well as being the main point of contact for all clients. I oversee all applications and enquiries from the initial adviser meeting, through to completion (and beyond).
My other responsibilities include overseeing the day to day accounting procedures, managing the administration staff, processing applications, plans and policies and liaising with lenders, providers, valuers and solicitors. I am the first person to arrive in a morning and the last one to leave on an evening. I take great pride in my work, I love what I do and the feeling I get when the Client Feedback Forms come pouring in.
I also enjoy offering impartial Mortgage Advice to my own clients and looking after their family protection needs.
Total Finance Options has given me the opportunity to be part of a team that offers excellent and exceptional levels of client care. To receive thank you letters, phone calls and emails from happy and satisfied clients – on a weekly basis, proves to me that we are “doing it right” and looking after our clients.
I have many years experience in the finance industry and retail banking, having worked for Allied Dunbar, National and Provincial and Lloyds TSB. During my time at these national companies, I have gained invaluable customer service skills and a vast knowledge of the market. All this experience has been extremely useful in my role as Mortgage Administrator at Total Finance Options and I love what I do. I thrive on talking to clients and helping them meet their needs and exceed their expectations of the company.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family and socialising with friends.
I’ve worked in the Financial Services and Estate Agency industry for over 20 years now and I can honestly say I’ve loved every minute of it! Throughout my career, I’ve worked for numerous national organisations. I started off working for the Leeds and Holbeck Building Society, as a Banking Adviser. I was then fortunate to be offered a position at Halifax Bank, as a Customer Banking Adviser. I’ve also worked for APS Estate Agents and more recently Your Move Estate Agents.
All of my positions have been customer service roles and this is where I feel “at home”. I thrive on providing excellent customer care and establishing and maintaining business relationships. I’m driven by always going above and beyond.
I’ve always been of the opinion that it’s paramount to treat clients as I would expect to be treated myself – there is a caveat to this, insofar as I love to over deliver!
I’m enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated to turning negatives into positives.
Having worked for two of the busiest solicitors in Doncaster, I have many years of experience in conveyancing and assisting clients with their home purchases and re-mortgages.
I began my career as an Office Junior and worked hard, resulting in me being promoted to Conveyancing Assistant and then Legal Secretary – all within the Conveyancing Department. Working in the same department for all these years, I have gained a great inside knowledge and experience in the home buying process. I have also built up strong business and working relationships with other local and national solicitors and estate agents. It is this experience, compiled with the fact that I thoroughly enjoy speaking to clients and helping them achieve their dreams, which has helped me in securing my role of Mortgage Administrator at Total Finance Options.
Outside of work I like reading (I love a good book) and enjoy spending time with my better half.

I am a director of Ideal Financial Management with many years experience within the financial services industry, all of them as an Independent Financial Adviser.
I started my financial services career with Reliance Mutual, before moving to Prudential, then onto Britannic Assurance.
In 1999 I took on my first role as an Independent Financial Adviser, before becoming part of the team at Ideal Financial Management in late 2002. I became a Director of the firm in 2007.
I am fully qualified to Diploma Level 4, as required by the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) from January 2013 and I continue to develop my knowledge and expertise on an ongoing basis, via various extended regulatory training and examinations.
As a Director of Ideal Financial Management Ltd, I have been heavily involved in preparing the company for the many changes that are being introduced to our industry in January 2013. I am proud to say that we as a company and myself as an individual are ready to provide the best initial and ongoing advice to both our new and existing clients.
I aim to help and assist clients achieve both their immediate and future financial goals, in the smoothest way possible, via a truly independent and honest advice process.
Since 2006 I have worked closely with Total Finance Options and offered a free, no obligation Pension and Investment review service. I have assisted their clients in a whole host of financial planning activities and in many instances been able to improve clients’ financial situation or offer a more suitable and/or affordable plan or policy
